About Me

There is no syllabus. There is rarely a pause button. There are fifty trillion books and a thousand approaches to raising a healthy, happy human.

The one that matters most is your own.

Sounds like a Hallmark card, right? But it’s true. What’s also true is that while we all start out with grand visions for our little bundles of joy, the reality can be a lot messier and more overwhelming. Oftentimes, we lose our core selves in the process of parenting, forgetting where our priorities (and keys) are in the hustle of trying to make it through the day, hour, or moment. Parenting is hard. It’s wearing all the hats at once as the Cheerios go flying and the socks, underwear, and oversized feelings land in public places and around what used to be our calm and orderly home. If any of this resonates with you, we can take a breath together, as I have been there myself.

Being a preschool teacher at one time in my life, I figured I had it down. Nope.

Having a degree in Early Childhood Development, I thought, “I’ve got this!” Double nope.

Even starting a family and becoming a parent myself, surely I had acquired the skills. Not quite.

It wasn’t until I became a PCI Certified Parent Coach® that I felt I had the tools and the deeper understanding to affect real change and become the parent I wanted to be.

A Parent Coach is there to guide you toward your best parenting self: the self who pauses before reacting impulsively to a difficult situation; the self who creates moments of connection; and the self whose boundaries are tethered to clear values, making them easier to hold. A Parent Coach supports you when you feel you’re at your wits’ end and gives you a little more “wit” to work with. We all parent better when we feel supported. I’ll help you figure out what you want and how to create it.
